Blowfish, a new over-the-counter drug available in the US can eradicate a hangover in just 15 minutes, say its manufacturers.
The drug's creator, former financier Brenna Haysom has no pharmaceutical background but came across the recipe after trying hundreds of hangover cures, the Daily Mail reported.
Two tablets of Blowfish contain 1,000 milligrams of aspirin, 120 milligrams of caffeine 816 milligrams of sodium and 25.2 milligrams of phenylalanine.
"I started on a quest to find something that really worked and could be taken the morning after drinking.
"After some research, I found a combination that did the trick, fast. I started sharing it with my friends, and they kept asking for more."
After a night of big drinking, users are instructed to take two of the effervescent tablets which help "restore mental alertness or wakefulness when experiencing fatigue or drowsiness associated with a hangover."
"It's the only over-the-counter drug that’s specifically hangover related," Haysom said.
"The [Food and Drug Administration] has specifically said our formula is effective for treating hangover symptoms."
Blowfish, which is manufactured by Rally Labs LLC is set to hit US pharmacies in 2012.
