The old me
Since finishing high school, I slowly put on weight over the years. I was at the point where I was so self-conscious
about photos that I’d make friends show me photos they’d taken of me, then I’d tell them to delete them I looked gross.
It really hit me when I realised I didn’t want to show friends photos from my big overseas adventure. I hated how I looked, yet I wanted to show them all the amazing places I’d seen. I had to do something about my weight, but I wasn’t sure what the solution was.
Kicking off the New Year
At the beginning of the year, my friend from work asked me to join Weight Watchers Online with her. We used to sit at our desks and complain about our weight so we decided it would be a positive start to the New Year.
At first the motivation was to go clothes shopping, but after we both lost 5kg, we kept going as everyone started to notice and we felt good about ourselves.
My way with Online
The best thing about Weight Watchers Online
was that I didn’t have to go anywhere. I have a full after work life, so committing to meetings didn’t appeal to me. I can simply slot Tracking into my day.
The best thing about the Satisfaction plan is that I feel like I can eat a lot and feel full. I know which foods to choose and if I want a treat, I know to pick a milky way over a Mars bar.
For me, getting dressed up and going out is about looking hot and having fun! When I was heavier I felt self conscious and was more comfortable in jeans and a hoodie than a nice dress. I hated the 3 hours it took to get ready because I wasn't happy with the way I looked.
Now I have confidence and I’m proud that I finally did something about my weight. I think back to all those wasted months of feeling unhappy and I can’t believe I didn’t do it ages ago. The best feeling is being excited about clothes shopping and enjoying trying things on and looking great in them!
