The American country music and pop singer LeAnn Rimes reveals to Fitness magazine how she got her killer bikini bod.
Like many of us LeAnn Rimes found herself turning to food as a source of comfort. Even though she had been health conscious since an early age, playing T-ball at four and dancing until she was 12, she found herself reaching for food to comfort her whilst on tour.
"I turned to food at times because I had nowhere else to get that love," tells LeAnn.
"I wasn't taking care of my health. I was getting out of breath in the middle of the show … and sometimes I was getting really sick."
LeAnn found the solution to her declining health situation in her husband Dean. As well as providing emotion support for LeAnn he became work out partner. "We both push each other to be better," she says.
On top of that there was her new diet, here's an example of a typical daily intake for LeAnn:
Breakfast
- bowl of oatmeal with agave nectar
- dried cherries and walnuts
After workout snack
Lunch
- grilled chicken
- a whole-wheat pita
humus
Dinner
- trout
- spinach sautéed in garlic and olive oil
- piece of dark chocolate for dessert.
LeAnn's new exercise and diet regime gave her such a confidence boost that she was happy to pose in her bikini and even showed up half-an-hour early for the shot!
