A Polish man has survived freezing temperatures of -5°C in just his underwear due to the amount of alcohol in his blood.

Aleksander Andrzej, 32, was spotted on a Warsaw park bench wearing only his underwear and was taken to hospital by police, the UK's Metro reported.

Breath tests revealed the man had 1024mg of alcohol per 100ml, which doctors believe helped him survive the below-freezing temperatures — but was also the reason for him ending up partially clothed in the park in the first place.

Even 300mg of alcohol per 100ml can be deadly but the man is expected to make a full recovery.
