Irregular periods and breakthrough bleeding

Friday, January 1, 2010

Question:

I am looking for help with irregular periods and breakthrough bleeding. I have been to my gynaecologist and all the tests are fine. She suggested a contraceptive to help but my husband and I wish to still be able to fall pregnant. What would you suggest?.

Answer:

I think a visit to a naturopath who specialises in problems with the reproductive system is required. Even though all your tests are fine, and that is very good, your hormones are still out of balance. I find herbal medicine is very effective at normalising troublesome periods and assisting with fertility.

Your naturopath will also be able to suggest any dietary changes and vitamin supplements you and your husband need to maximise your chances of achieving a pregnancy. Good luck!
