Arthritic condition

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

Question:
I recently suffered a stroke and, combined with an arthritic condition in my right hip, am I having problems maintaining an exercise regimen. Can you suggest a natural remedy for the arthritis as I do not want to live on pain medication?

Answer:
There are a lot of natural remedies that have an anti-inflammatory action. Devil's claw and boswellia are two herbal remedies that can provide some relief. Fish oil is another good anti-inflammatory. Go to a health food shop to buy them to ensure you get a good reliable brand and take 8000mg per day. Sometimes it is a good idea to buy fish oil in liquid form as not everyone feels able to take eight capsules per day.
