Question:
I have extremly large knees that are actually twice the size of normal knees. They stick out on the inside of the leg which makes me quite ashamed to show my legs. Is there a procedure that would reduce my knees to normal size?
Answer:
There are really two reasons the contour of the knees will stick out. The first is that the prominence is bone, and if that is the case reducing the amount of bone will alter the function of the knee joint and I would not recommend that. The second cause is that there is a fat deposit on the inside and the outside of the knee and this can be reduced using liposuction. If the prominence is soft then it is fat and I would suggest seeking an opinion as to liposuction of the area.
